The Trick-tionary

Youtube is a wonderful resource for learning new tricks. After a while, though, it gets annoying trying to find that video you know you watched just the other day. I don’t know about you, but I’d much rather be out riding than sitting in front of the computer searching fruitlessly. So I started keeping a list.

I call it ‘The Trick-tionary‘.

This list isn’t exhaustive yet as new tricks are invented and new videos are filmed all the time.  At this point, there’s now over 100 tricks on the list. Given how many there are, I’ve noticed that some tricks are variations that so closely resemble other tricks that they may actually be the same. If you notice two are the same, let me know in the comments, and I’ll see what I can do about culling it.

If you’ve found a video for a trick which isn’t on the list, please feel free to submit it by email or link in a comment at the bottom and I’ll add it. Additionally, one of these days I’ll get around to organising the list by type (i.e. sliding, dancing, hand assisted spins, etc.) which should help make the list more user and search friendly.

For stitching it all together, Loaded have a great little animation on linking tricks together; check it out.Have fun riding and remember to wear your helmet!

If you happen to know links to other videos for these tricks, or have a camera and a board and want to do your own video, please submit your link and I’ll add it to the list.

  38. Hi guys, I’m looking for a trick but I don’t know its name. It is a rather simple one where you use your backfoot to turn your board 180° by sticking it under the board and kicking it. I do not know however what to do exactly with the frontfoot for I’m not able to keep on the board, while doing that. That’s why I’m looking for an explanation on what to do with the frontfoot but I can’t find any since I don’t know the name/a video/a site that explains it.
